There are few places in the world where elephant findings are so common. Udawalawe National Park also famous for that but in Udawalawe Park, Peacocks, jackals, water buffalo, crocodiles, monkeys and deers live here. This place lies on the boundaries of Sabharagamuwa and Uwa province in Sri Lanka.
Udawalawe Park is located 165KM away from Colombo city. This reserve covers a land area of 30,821 hectares (119.00 sq mi) of land area. Safaris are most popular in the sunrise hours when animals are at their most active. Mountain ranges to the north with wetlands and rivers hugging the grasslands and forests at the base of the mountains covers this area. Government is controlling the park and experienced guards are involving in the operation of looking after animals and visitors.
